Long Covid Advocacy challenges the Prime Minister

Long Covid Advocacy has written an excellent letter challenging the Prime Minister to take the same principled actions for ME and Long Covid that he has promised for brain cancer. We wait in hope! This is the sort of punchy approach we will need if we are ever to be heard.

Dobbin and Goodburn: A Tale of Two Cities

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” I’m sure you receive many letters and calls for help, but I thought instead of one as dry as toast you could put your feet up at Number 10, put on a brew, open an enclosed tub of twiglets…

Long Covid Advocacy

Our open letter to the Royal College of Psychiatrists

On 13/07/2026 we wrote to the RCPsych about its use of the biopsychosocial model in support of certain approaches to the treatment of ME/CFS. We do not believe it adds to their credibility in any way. We are concerned that providing weak theories with cover in this way could result in poorly-evidenced and potentially harmful therapies being offered to sufferers as officially-sanctioned.

Help us share our concerns more widely by sharing our letter!

RCPsych reply

They did us the courtesy of responding, which we appreciate, but answered none of our specific points.
